Pastor Wilson
says.... "The spirit of the Lord is upon me because he
hath anointed me to preach. (Luke 4:18)" |
|
At a very
early age the evidence was that Pastor Wilson had a
calling on his life to preach. God had a plan and
purpose beyond what he knew. Starting from a very
humble beginning in a little church on 3rd Street in
Kenner, God has blessed and shown favor on this man of
God. Under his leadership, with direction from the
Holy Spirit, Sweet Home Christian Center was built and
completed in 1988. |
|
Pastor Wilson
had been a dedicated pastor for 43 years. He and
his faithful and devoted wife have given their lives to
the work of the Lord. Together they have
unselfishly served their family, congregation and
community. They have been mentors for many young
men and women. Serving as examples of good
stewards to all that know and love them. Pastor
Wilson has devoted much time and effort in making
disciples, ordaining and licensing men and women for the
work of the ministry. God has blessed him to be
able to unite many couples in marriage and the joy of
baptizing & christening hundreds and yes, even those
occasion to preach the funerals for many bereaved
families. Pastor Wilson loves the Lord and
therefore he loves people. He is a loving father
to many followers of he teachings of the word. |
|
Through out
his life has has strived to help and lead all people in
his community to Christ. Through his leadership
many say how blessed they have been just to have been in
his presence. He stresses teaching. He
always says, "You cannot lead where you don't go."
He is truly an anointed man of God. |
|
Sister Wilson
has always been by his side supporting him and loving
him. They have been blessed with six children four
of who were called to preach the gospel. |
|
In short,
Pastor Wilson has been the people's Pastor. He has
always kept an open door to anyone needing counsel or
help. He and Sis. Wilson has served and still is
serving the people of God. SHCC and the world can thank
God for giving them to us. Lets pray that God will
continue to bless and keep both of them in his care. |
